ULFAT - NGO Activity 2022

Image
The journey of smiles has always been our favourite one. ULFAT was the first NGO event for recruits held on 5th April 2022. IMAGES has always been working for the welfare of society, shaping the future of needy children by helping them explore the best in themselves. IMAGEans visited "Humari Kaksha", an NGO in sector 7, which provides education t 4 underprivileged children. On reaching there, we interacted with children to get familiar with them. Then we moved on to the Ice Breaking session, where all danced together to songs.  We spent a couple of hours with them and took a workshop on 'Communication and Team Management. We performed several fun activities with them. Each activity had morals like the importance of team and teammates, not believing in rumours, we should follow instructions carefully, and many more.  We believe every child has unique capabilities and strengths. Children shared their ambitions with us, so by engaging them in the activities, we wanted to ins

Diwali at Vatika School

The only way to focus on the brighter side of life, and leave behind the difficulties and unwanted situations is to enjoy the present and forget the past⏱. Keeping this in mind, we the members of IMAGES, visited the Vatika School, Sector-19 Chandigarh on November 2 to celebrate the festival of lights, 🪔 Diwali ❤️. It was a great privilege to celebrate this auspicious occasion ✨with these children who had so much love and happiness in their eyes for us🤗. We distributed sweets 🍫 among the students as well as the faculty of the school.  We learnt the sign language and had a blissful interaction 💫with the students and teachers. The principal welcomed us with great warmth and love✨. Interacting with the students was a pure joyful moment for all of us 💛 We also found out about the immense talent these students have wherein they make candles 🕯, dyes and cloth bags 🛍which are all eco-friendly 🌍.  As said "Kindness is a language that deaf can hear and a blind can see"🌼, so we

On the way to this, we had performed different exercises to help the underprivileged sector, in collaboration with DISHA Chandigarh. In this online semester period IMAGES consistently made things conceivable in every condition. In this event, we made little strides but at some point, it brought a major change. We proceeded with our book recording drive for Blind students and recorded "Global Politics" by Andrew Heywood. We are happy to share that our organization IMAGES has recorded nearly 900+ pages only in a week's time . Managed and directed by our NGO team, headed by Sakshi - Public relations officer of IMAGES and the members who are “working from home” for t

Navchetna "An effort made for the happiness of others lifts us above ourselves."This is the most pleasant feeling we get when we step into the shoes of an NGO. The NGO event NAVCHETNA was held at two venues. In morning, it was held at Vatika special school(sec-19) , a school for dead and dumb students, wherein we had class wise tasks like coins in the bucket game, balloon bursting and some DIY activities. The students participated enthusiastically and it was a very heart touching experience for us. The whole essence of the event was to make those children realize what they are, what they deserve and what they can do. In afternoon, it was held at Hamaari Kaksha(sec-9), a school for orphanage students, where we organised many scientific activities and also a session of motivational videos that inspire students to achieve their goals in life and never give up. IMAGES'S   Representative recording books. 'VOICE FOR BLIND'  “Be the beacon of light in someone’s darkness”- Anonymous As rightly quoted by someone, it is our moral duty and social responsibility to become a support system and a helping hand for those in need. We need to work together to make them strong and independent. The only tool that can make it happen is Education. Continuing our zest to unearth new ways to help the society we came up with an idea that this time our organization would help the visually impaired students
